Each painting is this series began as a scrap of recycled artist’s linen that I would bring with me to sketch in nature. The texture of the environment is then reconstructed from memory using water-soluble oils.

NOTE: The edges of this painting have intentionally trimmed to include the linen’s imperfections including folds and staple indentations. At Roughly 5” x 7”, the baroque edge is beautifully contrasted with a crisp archival mat for a 11” x 14” frame.
